Nightmare mode in Outlast 2 is rather self explanatory.
Outlast 2 and its ban on weapons helps to up the ante from what was established in the original, and Resident Evil 7 deviates completely from a lot of the series tropes while still keeping itself embedded in the Resident Evil franchise.
The general consensus is that both games are mutually scary. The game places such a heavy emphasis on gore and disgusting moments that the actual cult’s beliefs never coherently come together. … Swapping out the dry corporate Murkoff notices that brought pain and suffering, Outlast 2 goes for pseudo-religious horror. This makes it a bad horror movie, and an even worse horror game. This makes you feel fragile throughout the entire game. Outlast 2 is definitely the scariest game released this year, mainly due to the fact you could actually become stronger in Resident Evil 7 and fight back against the monsters, whereas in Outlast 2 you simply have to run away and hide. Jessica is best friends with Lynn and they share notes in class and play hangman. Though Blake did love Jessica as his friend. … In her suicide note, she specified that Blake should have loved her. Here, he is kept in a lucid state, after discovering he could control this lucid dreaming as part of the Morphogenic Engine, and thereby control the nanites known as the Walrider. However as Miles hits the ground and “dies”, Wernicke realizes that not only the Walrider isn’t dead, but it has chosen Miles as its new host. He kills Miles because as said in one of the notes, he leaves no survivors, and he definitely doesn’t want Miles to expose his horrific experiments to the public. Why do you get killed at the end of Outlast? Which is exactly what he does to Miles, and then Miles controls the Walrider and uses him to destroy Murkoff for payback.
The Walrider chose Miles Upshur as his host, and is capable of reviving damaged cells. If you have played the game, then you know Miles is shot down.
